On Sunday, October 22, 2023, the Wirral Unitarian Church hosted its 49th Charity Classical Concert, with all proceeds benefiting the exceptional work of Claire House Children's Hospice. Claire House provides vital care to seriously and terminally ill children, cherishing the time they have, whether it is brief or extended. Their services include specialist nursing, end-of-life care, and emotional support, assisting families through their most challenging times.

The concert at the Heswall Quaker Meeting House was, as usual, very well attended. Richard delivered a stunning piano performance, providing the perfect accompaniment to Mezzo-Soprano Gail Gray, whose singing was nothing short of exquisite. The evening was further graced by the dramatic piano stylings of Stefan Martyniuk, who is also the esteemed organist at Cairo Street Chapel in Warrington.

We must not forget the contributions of The Venn Ensemble, whose renditions of various popular pieces resonated with the audience. My personal highlight was their interpretation of the theme from "The Great Escape," which was particularly memorable.

£300 was raised for Claire House!
